It chronicles the expansion of McDonald’s gastronomic empire. The founder tells the true story to Illinois salesman Ray Kroc, who meets the brothers Mac and Dick McDonald while operating a successful fast food restaurant in Southern California in the early 1950s. Its production is focused on: hamburgers, chips and milkshakes, which allows them to provide quality and fast service. Kroc makes a subtle maneuver to take control of the company, after buying it from the McDonald brothers in 1961 for $2.7 million.
In 1954, Ray Kroc is a failed seller of “Prince Castle” blenders that allowed the production of six milkshakes (and an endless number of useless items) simultaneously. He is supported by his wife, Ethel and, at the age of fifty-two, has saved enough to live in comfort and simplicity, although he still maintains aspirations. After learning that a restaurant in San Bernardino has ordered an unusual number of blowers, Ray travels to California to investigate. Find a very popular establishment owned by the McDonald brothers, managed by themselves, that provides fast service, provides high quality food in disposable packaging, and that enjoys large family-type customers.
Ray meets two brothers, “Mac” Richard. Ray visits the kitchen and takes stock of the staff’s work. Dick explains that high-quality food and lightning-quick service are the backbone of their dining. Ray takes the brothers to dinner and tells the story of McDonald’s origins. The next day, Ray suggests the restaurant’s franchise brothers and learns that they had tried to do so before, but found only absent owners and inconsistent standards that ultimately led to the company’s failure. Ray persists and eventually allows the brothers to direct his suffrage efforts on the condition that he accepts a contract that requires all changes to gain the McDonald brothers’ approval.
Initially, Ray tries to attract wealthy investors to open a franchise, but finds the same poor management ethics that condemned the original franchise’s efforts. Ray struck the idea of franchising to middle-class investors, who are more likely to join hands and be willing to follow McDonald’s formula. This proves successful, and new franchises begin to open in the Midwest, with Ray presenting himself as the creator of McDonald’s. During this time, Ray meets Roli Smith, an interested restaurant owner in Minnesota who wants to invest, and his wife Joan, whom Ray is immediately attracted to.
Despite his success, Ray faces financial difficulties, as his share of the franchise’s profits is limited due to his contract, and the fact that the owners are getting more than expected costs, especially large for Meringue. To cool the ice cream in quantity. Joan suggests Ray a shake powder to avoid these costs, but the brothers refuse to compromise on the quality of their food. With his debt rising, Ray goes to his bank to try to renegotiate his loan, but he refuses. Fortunately, Harry Sonnborn financial advisor Tasty Freeze, overhears this, who agrees to check Ray’s books. It feels that the real opportunity to make a profit is to provide franchisees with real estate, which will not only provide an income stream, but also provide an impact on its franchisees and its McDonald brothers. Ray incorporates a new company, Franchise Realty Corporation, and attracts new investors to the real estate company.
Excited, Ray begins to increasingly challenge the McDonald brothers and sidestep their authority, including supplying powdered milkshakes to all franchises. In the end, Ray changes the name of his company to McDonald’s Corporation and seeks to break free of his contract and buy out the brothers, the news that he sends Mac into diabetic shock. Ray visits her in the hospital and offers her a blank check to settle her business. The brothers accept a payment of $2.7 million and an annual royalty of 1%, but when it comes time to finalize the agreement, Ray refuses to include the rights in the agreement and instead agrees to hand squeeze. Offered. Later, Dick asks Ray why he had to take over his business, when he could easily have stolen his idea and recreated it.
The McDonald brothers are forced to take their name out of the original restaurant and Ray opens a new McDonald’s franchise directly across the street from the original restaurant to put the McDonald brothers out of business. The film closes in 1970 with him preparing a speech in which he praises his success in his elaborate mansion with his new wife, Joan. An epilogue reveals that the McDonald brothers were never paid their royalties.
