Story:
After freeing the author’s fictional monsters in the city of Madison, Delaware, a teenager reunites with the daughter of adult horror writer R.L. Stine.
After moving to a new small town, teen Zach Cooper (Dylan Minnette) meets the beautiful girl next door, Hannah (Odeya Rush). But there’s a cloud in every silver lining, and Zach comes along when he learns that Hannah has a mysterious father that is R.L. Stine (Jack Black), author of the bestselling Goosebumps series. It turns out that there’s a reason why Stine is so weird – he’s a prisoner of his imagination – the monsters that make his books famous are real, and Stine protects his readers by locking them in his books. Zach inadvertently removes the demons from his manuscripts and they begin to terrorize the city. It’s up to Stine, Zach, Hannah, and Zach’s friend Champ (Ryan Lee) to put all the demons back in their books.
